xombre asked: Out of curiosity how long have you been semi-serious/seriously practising and working at your craft in terms of years?
Hi TNP,
I’ve been drawing as long as I can remember, but I really started getting serious when I was fifteen. That was when I started my first piece that took over forty hours. After high school I went to a liberal arts college and majored in illustration, spending five years doing nothing but breathing and eating art and drawing. After graduating, I started up doing a freelance business.. so I guess I’ve been seriously at it for the past ten years, which is crazy to say out loud. Its taken a lot of practice, long hours, sheer determination and patience, but I finally feel like my work is getting toward where I want it to be. If you’re thinking about pursuing the arts, just make sure to keep practicing, most skills and tricks can be learned with enough work! Thanks for getting in touch, it was great to hear from you.
All the best of luck! !
Christina
